Wetherby veterinary products manufacturer raises £4.7m
Wetherby-based veterinary and medical equipment suppliers Avacta say revenues for this year are on target and recent fund raising has been successful.
The producers of human animal healthcare products raised £4.7m through the placing of new ordinary shares earlier this month.
Revenues for the year ended July 31 were on target to meet £2.7m, the business said in a trading update.
Avacta specialise in diagnostic equipment and consumables for the healthcare market.
The Group’s new Sensipod product, a tool for conducting lab quality tests within vet practices, is currently in production and is due to be shipped this September.
The firm have also devised a new canine allergy test which screens for allergies in dogs.
