Keighley construction firm hungry for growth after funding
Keighley-based construction and civil engineering outfit R N Wooler & Co Ltd says it intends to expand following bank funding.
The firm intends to acquire additional sites to complement steady growth over the last two decades, fuelled by projects for the likes of Morrisons, Skipton Building Society and Bradford Metropolitan Council.
Norman Wooler, managing director of R N Wooler & Son said: “Barclays’ funding underpins our growth plans. We’ve recently identified further development opportunities which will see the acquisition of additional sites to provide steady growth over the coming years.
“We know the property sector has been difficult for some in recent years, so we’re delighted that we’ve been able to weather the storm and continue with our growth plans.”
R N Wooler & Co were established in 1985 and employ over 200 staff. Turnover this year is expected to be £30m.
Richard Howarth, Barclays relationship director commented: “R N Wooler is a great example of a well managed business with an ambitious management team that is willing to invest for the future.
“This deal serves as a clear indication that Barclays is open for business for quality transactions and the future looks bright for the company to retain their leading position in the construction industry.”
