Pugh launch September residential and commercial catalogue

Pugh and Company has attracted over 185 lots for its September commercial and residential property auctions including a former Ambulance station in North Wales, four police stations and the former Newcastle City Temple.

The St John’s Ambulance depot in Old Conwy will be available at Pugh’s new Manchester auction venue, the Citizen’s Suite at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium on 5th September. The property, with planning permission for a change of use and guide price of £35,000 plus, has already received an overwhelming amount of enquiries.

Two former Lancashire police stations will also be available at the Manchester sale starting at 12 noon. The vacant Penwortham Police Station in Preston is being offered with a guide price of £200,000 and the former Newton in Bowland Police Station in Clitheroe has a guide price of £275-300,000.

A former police station in Ormskirk is also being offered at the auctioneer’s Liverpool sale taking place on September 10th at 2pm. The vacant, detached property is being offered with residential planning consent for a change of use into a residential dwelling. It has a guide price of £230,000 plus. All three lots are being sold on behalf of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Lancashire.

Aston Park House is a seven bedroom detached property in the Cheshire countryside that will be available at Pugh’s residential sale starting at 1.30pm at the Etihad. The three storey building is ideal for developers and has a guide price of £350,000.

The vacant Newcastle City Temple, being offered on behalf of The Salvation Army, will be available at the company’s North East auction on the 5th September at 7pm. The premise was previously used as a place of worship and is now suitable for a variety of uses subject to gaining the necessary consents. It is guided at £250-300,000.

Stephen Swainson, director at Pugh and The Auction People, said: “We’ve had a strong start to the year already with over 500 lots sold across the North and total sales in excess of £45million. We’re seeing people return to auction time and again to invest in great value properties in the North as they know it’s the right time to buy.

“And it’s not just the seasoned professional turning up at our regional venues – we’re seeing an influx of clued-up first timers and downsizers that are trying to escape the dreaded property chain and lengthy completions, by buying at auction.

“Our September catalogue is already attracting interest from keen buyers and we’re looking forward to the auction day.”

Pugh and The Auction People’s catalogue of properties is now available online.
