Miserable weather doesn't rain on family fun day celebrations
Staff past and present turn out to celebrate local firm AlphaGraphics North East’s 20th Anniversary event despite the poor August weather.
Local print and marketing company, AlphaGraphics North East (AGNE) last Saturday (24/08/13) celebrated twenty years of success in business in the form of a Family Fun Day for staff and partners from over the years.
The event, held at Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield, hosted a number of indoor and outdoor activities for guests of all ages to enjoy, including: balloon modelling, glitter nails and tattoos, a magician, photo booth, tea cups, bouncy castle, assault course, demolition zone, rodeo bull and a soft play party bus.
Despite the rain, guests were eager to have a go on the tea cups and battle it out at the laser clay pigeon shooting tournament and demolition zone, all held outside the hotel’s Coleman Suite. Entertainment was provided by popular local band “The Beer Pigs”, as well as a DJ and disco for the kids.
A number of competitions were held throughout the day, to bring the guests together, including “The Great AlphaGraphics Cake Off”, allowing staff and guests of all ages the opportunity to show off their baking skills and battle it out for the chance to win a range of prizes. There was also a fancy dress competition for children, and “20 Years Ago Today” photo quiz, which had pictures of long-serving AlphaGraphics staff in their youth for guests to decipher.
Sean Costigan, Director of AlphaGraphics North East stated: “We wanted to do something big to say a ‘Thank You’ to everyone who has helped AGNE get to where we are today. As a local business, we are proud of our growth despite the turbulent economy over the past few years, and felt 20 years was an important milestone to commemorate.”
