‘Mobile Monday Manchester’ to Focus on Mobile Money and Payments
Mobile Monday Manchester (MoMoMcr), a forum for the mobile industry in the North West of England, is to debate the future of mobile payments at its central Manchester event on the 9th September, 2013.
The event, which will be chaired by Tim Jefferson, managing director of The Human Chain, will focus on the trends, technologies and drivers surrounding mobile payments. An expert panel including representatives from Penrillian, Proxama, Helixion and TransaXiom will lead the discussion with audience participation and questions being taken from the floor.
Tim Jefferson commented: “Mobile commerce and in particular the mechanics of mobile payments are hot industry topics just now. The whole mobile payments space is in a rapid growth phase with new products and services being developed and implemented by multiple providers. We expect lively debate from our panellists and some useful insights into this sector for seasoned m-commerce and mobile payments experts, as well as those who are new to the subject matter.”
MoMoMcr’s high profile event programme has previously included speakers from the BBC, Nokia, the FT, O2 and Google. This month’s event is being sponsored by Proxama, Apadmi, Penrillain and The Human Chain and is free to attend. Previous events have included delegates from companies such as Sage, JD Sports, BlackBerry, EE, Manchester United and the Co-Operative Group.
Garry Partington, Founder of MoMoMcr and CEO of Apadmi said: “Last month’s event was our most popular to date, with over 170 attendees. We are confident that this month’s topic on mobile money and m-payments will be of interest to those working across mobile, payments and ecommerce industries.”
The event will take place at Dukes 92, Castle Street, Manchester and will include drinks and snacks as well as the opportunity to network with other attendees.
