Warrington offering opportunities for local building firms
Warrington & Co. is extending an open invitation to north west main contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers to attend a ‘Meet the Buyer’ event to find out more about opportunities for the construction sector in Warrington.
The event, to be held at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Wednesday 25th September, will include:
• Information on the Omega development now and in the near future
• Information on site developments within the Warrington Means Business programme
• Networking opportunities between contractors, trades and suppliers
• Information on business support and advice on the tender process
• Register for notice of tendering opportunities arising through the development projects
Representatives from major contractors will be present to answer project-specific questions and advise on their supply chain requirements. Business support organisations will also be there to provide practical information and assistance to local SMEs.
Warrington Borough Council is working in partnership with Warrington & Co. and Omega Warrington Ltd is seeking to “maximise opportunities for the local business community to engage with the major developments happening now and in the near future”.
Terry O’Neill, leader, Warrington Borough Council said:“With so many regeneration projects underway or about to start there are fabulous opportunities available for local businesses in the construction and construction supply sectors to get involved and benefit from what will be a construction boom in the town. This event will provide an overview of what is ongoing and planned and how to be best placed to submit a tender.”
Steve Park, managing director, Warrington & Co., said: “A key part of our role at Warrington & Co. is one of business support. We are bringing forward the development of all of the sites identified in the council’s framework document Warrington Means Business and are keen to encourage local contractors to submit tenders for work on the projects.
“This event will provide an overview of what is coming up, advice on how to submit winning tenders for work and a great opportunity to network.
