24 investors pledge to support growth of independent publisher Panoma Press

24 investors have already signed up to help independent co-operative publisher Panoma Press to achieve their ambitions for 2014 through crowdfunding platform ’BankToTheFuture.com’. With just a few days left, there is still time to get involved with this exciting opportunity to be part of the future of independent publishing in both the UK and on a global scale!

For over 8 years, Panoma Press (formerly Ecademy Press) has enabled over 200 authors to publish professionally and quickly, retaining their rights and earning increased profits from their books. In a market primarily dominated by the traditional or self-publishing routes, Panoma Press has always strived to offer something different. With a healthy revenue of over £300K and representation for authors in over 24 countries, Panoma Press is well on the way to achieving its objectives.

However, new developments in the international scene have spurred the publisher’s Managing Director Mindy Gibbins-Klein to post the funding request on ‘BankToTheFuture.com’ in order to capitalise on some very exciting opportunities that are in the pipeline for 2014 and beyond. 24 investors have already signed up, but there is still time for others to get involved and help the company reach their desired investment of £150,000.

Mindy explains, “Authors think they only have two choices: try to get a traditional book deal or self publish. Each of these options has its advantages, but they also have significant disadvantages, especially to entrepreneurial authors. Every day, we see authors wasting a lot of time, money and effort, as well as making mistakes that cost them sales, credibility and opportunities.

We’ve worked really hard to ensure that Panoma Press offers entrepreneurial authors the best of both worlds. They get a professionally designed book produced, managed, marketed and distributed worldwide. They get to focus on their business. They get high royalties and deep discounts on books for their own use. The growth that we are planning will allow even more authors to get their work into print, including more authors without the means to publish, but with important messages to share. If we are successful, this crowdfunding exercise will enable us to grow the company, sell more books in more markets, and provide more services to our authors and clients.

We have been offered so many opportunities to promote our books, all of which cost money and require us to manage them and supply books etc. We are also looking to invest in more book deals, where we front the money for books with great potential. We know these programs will result in even more success for our books and authors if we can do them and fund them properly.“
