Kaspersky Lab reinforces its position in the Endpoint Security Market

Corporate Endpoint Security market

Kaspersky Lab today announces that it has been ranked the third largest vendor in the worldwide Corporate Endpoint Security Suite market by IDC’s “Worldwide Endpoint Security 2013–2017 Forecast and 2012 Vendor Shares” report*.

In the Security Suite segment of the Corporate Endpoint Security market, Kaspersky Lab is represented by Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business, which has a 13 per cent global market share. IDC expects this segment of the Corporate Endpoint Security market to be the fastest growing over the next five years, with an estimated 11 per cent CAGR growth. The report says: “IDC expects the endpoint market to be dominated by integrated endpoint security suites that contain anti-malware, desktop firewall, host intrusion prevention, white listing, advanced heuristics, encryption, and patching. A single agent is easier to install and manage while being able to match the capabilities of individual standalone products.”*

“Kaspersky Lab’s continued success in gaining corporate customers is in direct relation to its focus on end-users who want integrated suites that are comprised of the right mix of modern technologies,” said Charles Kolodgy, Research Vice President, Security Products, IDC.

“The Corporate Endpoint Security Suite segment is the key element of Kaspersky Lab’s current business strategy. We see this market as the most critical in the IT security industry right now, and we’re glad the recent IDC report proves this trend. A growing number of companies are realising the importance of being equipped with high-quality security solutions, and at the same time suffering due to their complexity. Having analysed our customers’ needs, we have developed a solution that perfectly fits the corporate environment: this year we launched the brand new platform Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business. With it we expect even better results in the Corporate Endpoint Security Suite market in 2013,” commented Garry Kondakov, Kaspersky Lab’s Chief Sales, Marketing & Support Officer.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business delivers a broad array of tools and technologies to enable companies to see, control and protect all endpoint devices. It offers businesses a critical combination of the industry’s best protection from advanced malware and cybercrime and seamless manageability – with Kaspersky Security Center helping IT specialists manage a company’s entire IT defenses from a single console.

Consumer Endpoint Security market

According to IDC*, Kaspersky Lab has also improved its position in the B2C segment, climbing to third place among Consumer Endpoint Security vendors worldwide (up from fourth a year ago).

Kaspersky Lab has just launched its new flagship consumer security solution: Kaspersky Internet Security 2014. The solution combines a wide range of easy-to-use, rigorous web security technologies that protect consumers against all types of malware and Internet-based threats, ensuring the highest levels of security for users’ PCs and their digital assets. On top of that, the company is about to launch Kaspersky Internet Security – Multi-Device, a new product designed to protect devices across multiple platforms.

In the overall Endpoint Security market, Kaspersky Lab remains the fourth largest vendor worldwide, having increased its market share to 7.8 per cent (in B2B + B2C) among all vendors, according to the report*.
