North West travel industry’s chance to meet airlines
A major airline roadshow for travel businesses returns to Manchester Airport at the end of September.
The Manchester Airport Airline Road Show will allow travel businesses to network and find out about the latest developments on routes and travel options from airline staff, tour operators and airport staff.
Representatives from the likes of Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines and Emirates will be present at the event.
Jeff Howarth, marketing director for Manchester Airports Group (MAG), said: “Our annual event is a great opportunity for agents to network in a relaxed atmosphere. It provides the chance to learn more about the products on offer at Manchester Airport and meet partners first hand.
“Last year we took the road show to Leeds and Chester but are delighted to be bringing it back to Manchester this year.
“Feedback from previous events has been extremely positive and attendees always leave knowing a lot more about what they can sell to the airport’s 20m plus passengers each year.”
The airport launched the “Fly Manchester” campaign earlier this year, which aims to “win back” the estimated four million passengers from the catchment area that currently travel by road or rail to London airports.
Other attendees include British Airways, Flybe, United Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines, Air France/KLM & Delta Airlines and Thomas Cook.
