Why an internship could be the best next step for you

Are you a graduate thinking about an internship, but unsure if it’s really worthwhile?

Our recent marketing intern is coming to an end of her internship with us and we have made great efforts to ensure that she has had the chance to really get involved and learn a lot over the past three months and also enjoyed her time here!

MBL Solutions is a marketing solutions company based in Cramlington. We offer a wide range of services, including marketing strategy, web design and development, systems and applications, and SEO to a range of national and regional clients. MBL Solutions has three specialist arms as part of its network: Inspired Retail, MBL Digital and MBL Inspired.

Claudia Sanderson joined us in June this year after finishing her degree in Spanish with Business. Claudia said:

“I think that it is great that this successful marketing company is taking on graduate interns, helping them to gain invaluable experience in the industry.”

All of us here at MBL gave her a warm welcome and she quickly became an important part of the team. During her internship she had various duties and responsibilities, which have included: creating and updating website content for MBL and client sites, managing the company’s various social media accounts and writing proposals. She has had the opportunity to work on a number of projects from our portfolio of regional and national clients and also had the chance to get involved at important client meetings.

Claudia has also been involved in the other areas of the business assisting the EPOS sales team providing client quotes and has also been learning the basics of SEO, all with the aim to make the internship varied and interesting.

Claudia’s internship at MBL Solutions is sadly drawing to a close and she is heading back to Northumbria University to do a Masters degree in Mass Communication Management to cement her formal learning in Business and Marketing. It is clear that there are great opportunities for recent graduates here, Claudia: “I have found it an enriching experience giving me a great insight into the world of marketing and I am confident that it will give me an important advantage when competing for a job in the future. I would strongly recommend that graduates look out for upcoming internships which will offer valuable experience working in an exciting North East company”.
