I ♥ The Albany
The Albany Apartments on Old Hall Street invite you to join them on Thursday 19 September, 6-9pm to celebrate the history of the iconic Albany building with a New York style BBQ, beers and classic cocktails, kindly sponsored by the Commercial District BID.
Built in 1856, the Albany was an office for cotton traders using the Port of Liverpool. That same year, the RMS Persia completed what was at the time the fastest ever transatlantic voyage from Liverpool to New York.
To mark this momentous year and celebrate the historic link between the Big Apple and our own great city, the event will be serving a gourmet BBQ, tempting treats and titbits shaped around New York’s famous street food vendors.
There will be cocktails and crooning into the evening with a band to entertain guests as the sun goes down, and for those who remember the Berni Inn, once situated in the Albany, there might even be a special from that menu too!
On the night there will be show apartments open for viewing and details will be provided for those interested in living in this historic building in the heart of the city centre.
To help celebrate Liverpool Heritage Month, the team at The Albany will also be hosting building tours on Thursday 12th September and Friday 13th September. Booking is required so get in touch as soon as possible.
