Hexbug appoints Smoking Gun PR as new product launches scuttle into action.
HEXBUG has appointed Manchester PR & digital agency Smoking Gun (www.smokinggunpr.co.uk) as it triumphs in a three-way pitch for the prestigious toy account.

The American firm, sought fresh public relations support in order to launch four major new product lines ahead of Christmas.

The brief which starts immediately encompasses a mixture of digital marketing, consumer and trade media relations, experiential activity and celebrity seeding, all focused on the science behind what makes the Hexbug product range so unique.
As well as the latest incarnation of Hexbug: Nano v2, the fantastic new vertically climbing micro creatures, the agency will also be promoting brand extensions including Aquabot, the underwater mechanical fish and Tagamoto, the miniature vehicle range which operates using barcode technology.

The brand is the latest big name to sign up with Smoking Gun so far this year following wins with Red Bull, Abellio/Merseyrail, Harrison Hetherington Group, MySocialPetwork and Valour Finance. In an incredible year, the business is set to double turnover and profitability as well as currently being in the running for nine industry awards.
The growing team is also seeking more PR and digital account managers to assist in its continued future growth plans.
