Millionaire 'Del Boy of the North' turns his attention stateside
Market trader-turned-millionaire, Fil Adams-Mercer, says his latest leather iPad and iPhone covers business is taking off stateside.
The Bolton-born founder of online parcel delivery firm Parcel2Go.com says jos “TheSnugg” business is generating revenues of $20m.
Fil said: “I was walking past the Apple store in Florida just before the iPad was launched and saw a long line of people queuing up down the road to buy one.
“It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out that this was going to be the next big thing and that competitive iPad and iPhone covers was going to be a winner.”
The former star of Channel 4’s Secret Millionaire has moved most of his family out to Florida to work on TheSnugg while his son Richard Mercer heads up Parcel2Go.com in the UL.
TheSnugg have also started to produce covers for other tablets from Dell, Motorola, Microsoft, Samsung, Nexus and Nook.
The firm have managed to market themselves by supplying TV personalities like Harry Redknapp with leather cases and bespoke products for the likes of Rolls Royce.
