Developer Wayne Locke leaving Ashtenne
Wayne Locke, a leading figure in Liverpool development, including the £5m Exchange Station scheme, has confirmed he is leaving Ashtenne Space Northwest.
Mr Locke’s decision comes just weeks after Hansteen acquired a 26.3% stake in the £460m Ashtenne Industrial Fund, becoming the new asset manager to the fund.
Mr Locke said: “I am leaving, following an amicable agreement.
“Hansteen is an excellent fit for the portfolio and the take-over is great news for the business as a whole. However, I took a view that it was time to go and pursue other ideas.”
“I will continue to be involved in the Exchange Station project until it launches in November.”
The project is transforming the office complex in Tithebarn Street formerly known as Mercury Court.
Earlier this week, Space unveiled the completed concourse of the scheme and the first refurbished office suites will be available within weeks.
Mr Locke, who had been with the company for 13 years, has also been instrumental in the development of Ashtenne’s other key site – Liverpool Innovation Park just off Edge Lane.
