    Arriva’s Amazing Double ‘Decker’ Knockout
All the team at Investors in People North of England would like to pass on our congratulations to Arriva Yorkshire on their Investors in People Gold Success. This places Arriva Yorkshire in the top tier of companies to work for as only 3% of UK businesses have achieved Investors in People Gold status.
Olympic Gold hero Nicola Adams MBE helped bus drivers and engineers from Arriva Yorkshire celebrate their Investors in People Gold accreditation. Nicola jumped aboard the specially commissioned ‘gold’ double-decker bus as it arrived at their annual employee MAD (Made a Difference) Awards at Elland Road.
Nigel Featham, Regional Managing Director for Arriva Yorkshire, said:
“We are honored that Nicola Adams MBE will be part of our gold celebrations, we are so proud to have been awarded the Gold Investors in People standard and our employees will be absolutely delighted when they realise they have a Gold Olympian in their midst. This prestigious standard is in recognition of the commitment and passion our employees show in delivering a local bus service to the people of Yorkshire.”
We really hope our customers enjoy seeing the gold bus travelling around the region too.“
Nicola Adams MBE said:
“I’m excited about the night. It’s an honour to be involved with Arriva’s gold celebrations and attend the awards in my home town of Leeds. Congratulations to all employees who have worked hard to earn such a prestigious award.”
Steve Burrows, Managing Director of idg, the official partner for Investors in People in the North of England said:
“Investors in People is all about developing people and helping them to realise their potential-a continuous journey to support improved performance for the whole organisation. Of course, Arriva Yorkshire will know all about successful journeys and its fantastic that they have reached Investors in People Gold accreditation-but this won’t be their last stop as they use the framework to positively move forward as an organisation through people development. Congratulations to all!”
