Response extends Stretford consultation period
Trafford Council is extending the Stretford Masterplan consultation period by a further four weeks, to midnight on Sunday 20 October 2013 after an overwhelming turn-out of residents at their neighbourhood forum meeting on 16 September.
Executive Councillor Michael Hyman said: “I would like to thank everyone who attended the meeting and took the time to express their views and share their opinions. We had a great attendance and it is evident that local people are really passionate about the future of Stretford.
“Some important issues were raised on the night and these now need to be considered by the council. We have listened to what residents have said and in view of this, we have decided to extend the consultation period for a further four weeks.
“This will give more people the opportunity to get involved and will allow the council more time to ensure we have really listened to and understood the public’s vision for Stretford.”
The Stretford Town Centre Masterplan will provide a framework for delivering the successful regeneration of Stretford Town Centre over the next 10 to 15 years.
