International trade specialist and trainer elected Fellow by Institute of Export
The Institute of Export has conferred Fellow status on long standing member Cynthia Hollinsworth for her outstanding achievement and eminence in international business.
Cynthia is an IOE accredited trainer and international trade specialist with extensive professional experience in exporting to Europe, North America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
A fluent French and German speaker she is Director of Global Contracts for Siemens Enterprise Communications, a role she has held since 2010. In 2012 she received a prestigious Gold Acclaim Award in special recognition of her contribution to the business.
Institute of Export Director General, Lesley Bachelor commented: “Cynthia’s extensive experience includes identifying economic, political and cultural risks and mitigation techniques, negotiating international contracts under a variety of jurisdictions and trade finance. Her status as a Fellow recognises the invaluable help and support Cynthia has given the Institute over the years.”
As an accredited trainer Cynthia has played a key role in embedding professionalism into international trade and supporting the IOE’s ethos and mission to support the interests of importers and exporters.
Cynthia said: “It has been a privilege to see the Institute evolve to become a recognized leader, providing a comprehensive and expanding suite of qualifications. The IOE equips businesses and individuals with the skills and learning to enable them to maximize the wealth of opportunities in exporting and international trade.”
Among Cynthia’s other career highlights are her appointment as Lead Subject Matter Expert for the North American Small Business International Trade Educators (NASBITE) whilst living in the USA. Cynthia’s expertise was instrumental in the launch and development of the Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) qualification.
