Housebuilder cements its community support

A community group in Bathgate received a boost to its autumn fayre, thanks to one of the region’s leading housebuilders.

Charles Church proudly helped the Wester Inch Community Association’s Autumn Fayre, which took place at Simpson Primary School on Saturday (21st September) attracting over 300 visitors.

The housebuilder, who donated £300 towards the event, said it couldn’t have come at a better time as it coincided perfectly with the opening of their new showhome at their Reiver Grange development just minutes away.

Charles Church East Scotland’s sales director, Lorraine Clelland said: “We started building at our Reiver Grange Development earlier this year. The area has such a wonderful family atmosphere; we thought we’d open our new Dryden showhome on the same day as the fayre.”

The Bathgate event brought together local businesses and community groups in an action-packed family event which included traditional fun fayre stalls, music, martial arts demonstrations and free face painting and arts and crafts activities for children.

Event organisers, The Wester Inch Community Association were delighted with the success of the day and appreciated the support from Charles Church.

A spokesperson for the Association said: “The annual fayre is all about developing a sense of community within the village however, there are costs which have to be met so we are really grateful that Charles Church were so willing to help.

“The day was a great success with so much going on. Hopefully everyone who came to look around the new Charles Church showhome got to see that there are not just fabulous houses on offer here but also a really warm, friendly community as well.”

Lorraine added: “We feel it’s important to support the local community where we can and the fayre is the ideal occasion for residents to meet their new neighbours and begin forming friendships.”

Reiver Grange features a selection of four and five and six bedroom executive homes and is perfectly located for schools and local amenities. Its central position to road and rail links makes easy access to Edinburgh, Glasgow and beyond. Prices start at £259,995.
