Manor Walks celebrates North East emergency services

Manor Walks Shopping & Leisure in Cramlington has been helping to raise awareness of the region’s emergency services during a week-long celebration of the work that frontline teams do for the community.

This week Manor Walks hosted its Emergency Services Week, which has seen Northumbria Police, North East Ambulance Service, The Great North Air Ambulance, Northumberland Fire & Rescue Service and The Blue Lamp Foundation visit the centre.

During the series of special events, visitors to the centre have had the opportunity to meet representatives from each of the emergency services to find out more about the work which they do to help keep the community safe, as they answer questions about their services and showcase the work that they do on a local level.

Bruno Coppola, general manager at Manor Walks, said: “Northumberland’s emergency services do an outstanding job serving our local community and we are proud to be able to support the fantastic work which they do day-in-day-out.

“We wanted to create a series of informal events to help raise awareness of our emergency services, and which would allow the community to learn more about the frontline staff which so many of us rely on. People have had the chance to ask any questions which they might have while also finding out how they can get involved in supporting these key organisations.

“We would like to say a big thank you from all at Manor Walks to each of organisations that have taken part in our Emergency Services Week.”
