Duo promoted as Hurst Corporate Finance strengthens team
The corporate finance division of accountancy firm HURST has promoted Richard Higham and Ian Dawson and has recruited Lauren Roberts as a researcher.
Lauren, aged 22, joins from HSBC, where she was a personal banker.
Richard and Ian have been promoted from corporate finance executive to manager level.
Richard, aged 31, who qualified as a chartered accountant in 2007, initially joined the Hurst Corporate Finance team, which is based at Centurion House, Deansgate, Manchester, in 2010.
He returned to the practice last year after a spell at a London-based corporate finance boutique.
Ian, aged 29, joined Hurst in 2012 after a stint in the banking advisory division of BTG Restructuring. He qualified as a chartered accountant in 2008 at Ernst & Young.
The latest promotions and recruitment at Hurst Corporate Finance follow a 72 per cent surge in fee income in the 12 months to August,
The team advised on deals including the sale of Selwyns Travel, the acquisition of Pannone’s Court of Protection business by Hugh Jones Solicitors, and Creamline Dairies’ acquisition of Dairy Crest depots across the north west.
Recently, Hurst Corporate Finance advised AIM-listed Ironveld Group on its disposal of Trafford Park-based Mercury Recycling to Environmental Safeguard for £1.5m.
