BCL Legal signs up to Forever Manchester’s Manchester Millions Business Club
BCL Legal is pleased to announce that it is the latest organisation to join Forever Manchester’s ‘Manchester Million Business Club’. The firm will be announcing – and then staging – a series of fundraising events and initiatives throughout the next 12 months.
Manchester Million members pledge to donate or fundraise (including through referrals) at least £1,000 to help Forever Manchester to support the vital work of grassroots projects at the heart of local communities. The Manchester Million proposition helps a company to deliver the local element of its corporate social responsibility agenda – making a long-lasting contribution to groups near where member companies are based and where their staff live.
The decision to support Forever Manchester – the community foundation for Greater Manchester – was based on the charity’s commitment to providing wide ranging support to small community groups across the region. Its focus is on helping bringing people together and making them feel better about where they live. This ethos – and the grassroots work it delivers every day – impressed the BCL Legal team.
There are 57 community foundations across the UK and Forever Manchester is the community foundation that represents Greater Manchester and it supports all ten boroughs: Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan. Forever Manchester has strong connections within each local community and so ensures donations are accurately targeted to achieve the biggest impact.
James Batt – managing director of BCL Legal – said: “We started our business in Manchester so we have a passion and commitment for the city. Forever Manchester does an amazing job by empowering communities so we’re now looking forward to getting involved and hopefully make a difference.”
