New phase of homes released for sale in Bentley

A new phase of high quality, spacious homes have been released for sale at Keepmoat Homes’ Evergreen development in Bentley, Doncaster.

The new phase will include a mix of 137 two, three and four bedroom homes, which are ideal for first time buyers, families and young professionals, offering buyers a variety of schemes to help people onto the property ladder.

House prices in the new phase range from £95,196 on the Help to Buy scheme for a two bedroom Falsted home to £125,596, also on Help to Buy, for a four-bedroom Stretton Home.

The Help to Buy scheme offers buyers who have saved a 5% deposit the chance to take advantage of a five-year interest free loan covering 20% of the value of the property. The remaining 75% of the property’s value will be funded through a mortgage, with Keepmoat referring customers to a nominated mortgage advisor who will arrange the finance needed.

The site is part of the Homes and Community Agency’s (HCA) National Coalfields Programme and Keepmoat Homes secured the land through the HCA’s Private Land Initiative.

To mark the official launch of the new phase, a brand new three-bedroom Braintree showhome has been unveiled by Councillor Glyn Jones, Deputy Mayor of Doncaster Council and Cabinet Member for Housing, Alan Beveridge, Area Manager at the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Dave Sheridan, Keepmoat’s CEO.

Councillor Glyn Jones, Deputy Mayor of Doncaster Council and Cabinet Member for Housing, said: “It is fantastic to see work commencing on this new phase of high quality homes at this excellent location in Bentley.

“As we know, now is a good time for people to buy through the Help to Buy scheme meaning people can get on the property ladder with a low deposit and interest free loan.

“Doncaster Council is showing its commitment to supporting the building of much needed new houses. We are also ensuring land for over 18,500 houses is made available in the town over the next 15 years to cater for the growing population and to plug the housing shortage gap.”

Alan Beveridge, Area Manager at the HCA said: “These new homes at Bentley show what the partnership we have with Keepmoat and the Council can achieve, we are able to provide the homes that local people want at a price they can afford. The choice of house sizes and the option of Help to Buy funding means that even more people will be able to afford to live in the next phase.”

Mark Knight, New Build Managing Director for Keepmoat Homes Yorkshire, said: “The first phase of homes which consisted of 33 properties at Daw Wood was extremely popular with home buyers and has completely sold out. We are pleased to unveil this second phase of new homes in Bentley which offers local people the opportunity to live in eco efficient new homes.

“This development not only provides high quality, spacious homes but it is also helping to regenerate the local area. The development is in an excellent location set in an idyllic setting boasting beautiful views of mature woodland and I would encourage anyone thinking of buying a new home to visit our fantastic new showhome to see what is available.”
