Creatives join RL World Cup 'Day To Remember' scheme

Lancashire creative agency JGM will be giving some deserving local residents a ‘Day to Remember’ when Rugby League World Cup 2013 kicks off later this month.

The company has signed up to the tournament’s ‘Day to Remember’ scheme which will see them providing complimentary tickets for deserving local people when Fiji play Ireland in Rochdale on 28 October as well as being promoted during the game.

The company, located in St Marys Chambers in Rawtenstall, has been producing creative campaigns for twenty years. The firm’s staff are excited about the tournament coming to the region, according to managing director Julie Grady.

She said: “Rugby League World Cup 2013 is the biggest sporting event in the country this year, so to get involved when we realised there was a game being played less than ten miles away was too good an opportunity.

“We have clients in Rochdale and the World Cup is a massive event that we wanted to be part of. It’s great to put something back into the community too. As part of this sponsorship deal we’ll ensure that some really deserving local people who would otherwise have missed out will get the chance to go and enjoy the game.”

Fiji play Ireland on Monday 28 October at Rochdale’s Spotland Stadium.

Over half a million people are expected to watch the 28 matches live, with a further 20 million viewers from 120 countries tuning in from around the world. The tournament will be broadcast on BBC television and radio.

JGM provides graphic design, website, digital advertising and media services for clients across the country, with clients including Kellogg’s, Fuji Film, Glaxo Smith Kline and LA Fitness.
