Restaurant hosts charity carnival

Liverpool’s award-winning Brazilian restaurant Viva Brazil is hosting a carnival with a difference with the aim of raising thousands of pounds for charity.

Claire’s Carnival will take place next month and it is hoped large amounts of money will be raised for Claire House in Wirral - a children’s hospice, offering respite and end of life care to children with complex medical needs.

The Brazilian-themed carnival at the Castle Street restaurant will include a feast of traditional Brazilian meats, signature cocktails, samba dancers and a charity raffle.

Andy Aldrich, owner of the Viva Brazil restaurant chain, said: “We are committed to supporting charity. Claire House carries out invaluable work and this is the perfect opportunity for us to help them to raise money for a very worthwhile cause.”

The ‘Claire’s Carnival’ will now take place early in 2014.
