New Chapter Learning looked InsideOut for great leadership
Innovative training experts New Chapter Learning have held a one day InsideOut programme for a group of senior managers, in the first of a new programme of events, geared to help leaders build successful teams.
This programme encouraged the group to consider the key skills, aptitudes and attitudes they need to develop their own organisation, and the personal development they can achieve by celebrating success within their organisation. However, unlike traditional training days, the InsideOut programme creates challenges throughout the day, and has a rapid programme of both indoor discussions and tasks, alongside outdoor activities, challenging physical/mental agility and building a team environment for the delegates.
Gary Collins, managing director of Comstal Technology Solutions commented on the day: ‘As a group we worked extremely well, even though we started the day as a group of individuals. The day was relaxed and informal, and allowed each of us to reflect on our own roles. The excellent mix of facilities and activities meant that we covered a significant amount in just one day. This is a totally new way of training, and was outstanding as it was informative and enjoyable. There was so much to take away from the day and apply, and with six planned follow up sessions online, this represents a great opportunity for developing a team.’
The first session was over subscribed with 15 delegates attending the full day course. It is planned that the programme will be developed over coming months, with a number of sessions taking place.
Senior executive training and development has been notoriously difficult to deliver and develop in innovative ways, and New Chapter Learning have pooled over 40 years of experience working with senior leadership teams to develop this bespoke course, which is delivered at the fantastic outdoor activity centre in Durham, at Moor House.
Moor House is a facility dedicated to outdoor activities and offers a wide range of activities perfect for management teams.
Jacci Wright, director of New Chapter Learning commented on the course: ‘The InsideOut Leadership Development programme is designed for both experienced and new to role managers who want to build on their skill, to be effective leaders. This is not a day of management theories or endless powerpoint presentations, and develops practical skills, sound advice and ensures that everyone learns lessons immediately which they can and will put into practice. A real emphasis has been placed on making InsideOut an engaging and entertaining programme to maximise participation.’
The dates of forthcoming sessions will be available soon.
