Pride In The Job Award success for Miller Homes North East

Miller Homes in the North East is celebrating after site managers, Paul Ritchie and Lee Howard, received coveted Seals of Excellence during the regional NHBC Pride in the Job Awards event at York Racecourse recently.

Paul Ritchie, site manager at Greenvale Park, and Lee Howard, site manager at Wheatlands Chase, were recognised for their efforts in achieving the highest standards in the house building industry and their contribution to the house building process, ensuring the delivery of high quality homes from start to finish. Paul and Lee were both awarded Quality Awards in the first round of the Pride in the Job Awards process earlier on in the year.

Paul, who won his award for overseeing the building and construction of Miller Homes’ Greenvale Park development, said: “I was delighted to receive a Quality Award and to also be awarded a Seal of Excellence is just superb. Providing our customers with homes of the best possible quality is our top priority and we work really hard to ensure that we are consistently achieving this. To be recognised by the NHBC for doing a good job is a great honour.”

Lee, who was also recognised for his work at Wheatlands Chase, added: “We work extremely hard to ensure we always provide our customers with the best quality homes so it’s really fantastic to be recognised for the effort that we make day in, day out. I was thrilled to be awarded a Seal of Excellence after receiving a Quality Award.”

Greenvale Park in Newcastle upon Tyne consists of a selection of three and four-bedroom homes, with prices starting from £149,950, while Wheatlands Chase in Redcar offers a mix of three, four and five-bedroom homes, with prices starting from £157,500.

Chris Endsor, Chief Executive of Miller Homes, which received 23 Quality Awards in the first round of the competition, added: “Paul and Lee are both worthy winners of this award and should be proud of what they have achieved. As a company, we strive to deliver to the best possible standards for our customers and recognition for our site managers at the Pride in the Job Awards demonstrates our on-going commitment to achieving that goal.”

The NHBC Pride in the Job Awards take place annually and are widely recognised as the house building industry’s most prestigious awards programme. They are dedicated to recognising site managers who achieve the highest standards in house building. The awards culminate with the Supreme Awards, when the national winners are selected from the pool of regional winners during a gala dinner in London in January.
