Heritage Healthcare expands into Teesside

Heritage Healthcare is expanding into Teesside with the opening of a new office.

The Middlesbrough base will bridge the gap between the company’s existing branches in Darlington, Loftus and Guisborough and will enable clients in Middlesbrough, Stockton, Thornaby, Billingham, Yarm, Stokesley and the surrounding areas to take advantage of the domiciliary care and healthcare services Heritage Healthcare provides. Zoe Newbury has been appointed as Care Manager to lead the new office. An experienced healthcare and managerial professional, Zoe has a reputation for delivering high quality care in the Teesside area. One of Zoe’s biggest achievements came when she was named Home Care Registered manager of the Year at the Great British Care Awards 2011. Her citation read ‘Zoe showed the judges that she has a real understanding of the challenges home care faces at the moment. She demonstrated a broad range of skills and attributes – managing her staff and the service they deliver.’

Glenn Pickersgill, managing director of Heritage Healthcare, said: “We are delighted to welcome Zoe to the Heritage Healthcare team and proud that we can now bring our care services to a wider area.

“We have a thorough understanding of the sector, fantastic caring staff and with Zoe’s expertise expect the new Teesside venture to be a real success.”

In 2011 she contributed to a pioneering dementia project by Stirling University, which looked at the impact of assistive technology for people with dementia and how simple adaptations could assist them in their daily life and help them to remain independent for much longer.
