Anesco strengthens its energy services team

National energy efficiency solutions company Anesco has appointed Nick Painter as sales manager, working across its ESCO and biomass services.

Reading-based Anesco works with business, local authorities, housing associations and homeowners looking to reduce their carbon emissions. It is one of the UK’s fastest growing private companies, with innovations such as its fully funded ESCO model seeing the company firmly established as a leader in its field.

In his new role Nick will be responsible for developing and growing Anesco’s client base within the ESCO and biomass sector. He will be building long term relationships with customers across a range of industries, including manufacturing, the public sector and the NHS.

“I’m delighted to join the team at Anesco. It is a forward thinking company, with fresh ideas and a significant depth of knowledge, making it well placed to drive the expanding ESCO and biomass markets,” said Nick.

“I’ve been involved in the energy sector for many years and look forward to the new challenge of educating clients about the ESCO model and how it can fund guaranteed energy and carbon savings without the need for capital.”

Over the course of his career, Nick has lectured for the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and the Major Energy User Council, covering renewable technology and energy conservation measures.

Prior to joining Anesco, Nick worked as a senior business development manager at British Gas, where he was responsible for building key partnerships with UK organisations. He was also a regular speaker at company events and training sessions, helping to develop and drive the energy efficiency service.

Beginning his career as a qualified gas engineer, Nick went on to study as a mechanical and electrical engineer before forging a career in the industrial and commercial engineering sectors. He is a member of the Energy Managers Association, CIBSE and The Institute of Leadership & Management.
