Newly-weds make their dream home move with Charles Church

A newly-married couple have recently upgraded to a luxurious three bedroom home in Pontefract thanks to an innovative Part Exchange scheme available from the UK’s leading house builder.

Fiona Healey and husband Tim, moved to Holme Farm, a Charles Church development in the village of Carleton, after stumbling across their dream home at the development earlier this year.

Fiona (41), who works in customer services for a pharmaceutical company, says: “We came across Holme Farm when we were driving one day so thought we’d come and have a nosey. I fell in love with the area and the house instantly. The rest is history.” The couple - who got married on the 25th August – said they only looked at new build homes as they wanted to take advantage of the ‘stress-free’ part exchange initiative.

Fiona said: “We really wanted to move to a bigger home as we want to start a family but we were worried that we wouldn’t be able to sell our old house without dropping the asking price.”

“When we visited Charles Church and found out we could Part Exchange we were over the moon. Not only did it save us the hassle and time of selling our old house, we also saved money in the process.”

The couple, who stepped up the property ladder from a two bedroom terraced house to a spacious three bedroom semi-detached ‘Hanbury’ house, moved in to their new home last week.

Fiona said: “We love everything about our new home. Our old house only had a small kitchen, a tiny living room and the garden was communal so we’re enjoying the luxuries of having a large kitchen-diner and our own garden.

“The extra space was definitely a much needed luxury!”

Commenting on Charles Church’s service throughout the moving and Part Exchange process, Fiona added: “It was great. The site manager, James, has been fantastic throughout and Sandra, the sales executive, was extremely helpful and kept us informed throughout the process. It couldn’t have been simpler.

Part Exchange is a popular initiative which is ideal for those looking to move up to a larger home, but are struggling to find a buyer for their existing property, or simply want to cut out the hassle of selling the property independently.

Simon Whalley, Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire sales director, said: “It’s great that Fiona and Tim have been able to move to their new house thanks to our Part Exchange scheme.

“For customers, like the Healeys, who take advantage of the Charles Church Part Exchange scheme, things couldn’t be more straightforward. We will arrange for at least two valuations, agree a market price with you and, and on receipt of an acceptable survey report, buy your existing property.

“There are no hidden marketing costs and no chains to break down, helping to make your move faster and smoother.” Holme Farm is an exclusive new development of three, four and five bedroom houses ideally located for those looking for a combination of city convenience coupled with a picturesque countryside setting. Easy access to the A1M and M62 motorway network and excellent Ofsted rated schools like St Joseph’s Primary School just over a mile away makes this development perfect for commuters and families alike.

Prices start from just £229,950*
