Stress less and raise money at Rockliffe Hall
5* Rockliffe Hall in Hurworth, on the outskirts of Darlington, is holding a range of fundraising events to mark National Stress Awareness Day and to offer practical advice on reducing stress and promoting well-being.
As an official centre of excellence for Nordic Walking, Rockliffe Hall is one of the best in the UK. The resort’s expert, Peter Bell, will host a two and a half mile fundraising Nordic walk around Rockliffe Hall’s grounds on National Stress Awareness Day, Wednesday 6th November. The walk is aimed at people of all ages and levels of fitness and all entry donations will raise money for the mental health charity, MIND.
On the evening of 6th November, Rockliffe Hall’s popular Mind Calm and Mind Detox practitioner, Kate Schott, will host a stress awareness event offering advice on stress-free living- again all entry donations will go to MIND.
In addition, the award-winning spa will celebrate National Spa Week, which runs from 4th-8th November and coincides with National Stress Awareness Day, by launching a new ‘Chill Out Tuesday’. This special spa day will run every week and includes an introduction to meditation with Kate Schott, a session on special techniques to relax mind and body, a 45 minute spa treatment, full use of the spa facilities and a two course lunch in the Brasserie.
National Spa Week is organised by the UK Spa Association which has teamed up with the International Stress Management Association and MIND to raise awareness about the importance of managing stress in the workplace.
Spa director at Rockliffe Hall, Liz Holmes, said: “Raising awareness about managing stress- especially in the workplace- is vital as so many working days are lost because of it every year. We have some of the best experts in the UK available at Rockliffe Hall who can provide practical advice and techniques. We’re really keen to offer these sessions not only to provide simple ways for people to reduce stress in their everyday lives, but also to raise money for MIND.”
