A blooming marvelous night

It’s great to see that during these blustery days of Autumn, amidst a recession and with the clocks well and truly back an hour, that a bright flower is blooming in Rothbury. Well, many bright flowers to be precise.

Last week saw a glitzy launch event for the recently formed Wild with Love, the brainchild of floral virtuoso Chris Cann and saw guests sipping champagne and discussing all things herbaceous at her home in Rothbury to celebrate this new venture.

By offering free event consultations in both Rothbury and Morpeth, Chris is hoping to be able to provide her services, workshops and products to people throughout Northumberland.

Wild with Love was formed earlier this year, born from Chris’s love of the Northumbrian natural, unstructured country flowers and a desire to share this with others by offering country flowers with a touch of eccentricity. Wild with Love recognised a gap in the market to provide a range of quirky props to hire for weddings and events as well as DIY Brides, the opportunity for brides to be to learn how to do their own flowers for the big day and purchase wonderful country flowers at cost price. And so after careful planning and consultation, Wild with Love was created – but not without exceptional advice and funding opportunities from the Northumberland Business Service Ltd (NBSL).

Chris said “ This is something that I’ve been working on for a long time, including having fabulous training from an inspired florist, developing wholesale contacts and sourcing beautiful flowers and now with the fantastic business support from NBSL I have my own business with a great website and am so excited about watching it blossom“
