Recognition for Yorkshire’s top PAs
Four members of The PA Hub Membership Network are in the finals of the ‘Yorkshire PA of the Year’ award at the Forward Ladies Women in Business awards on Friday 15th November.
The PA hub launched in January 2013 and is proving a great success by bringing in industry experts to speak and services to exhibit at different venues across Leeds.
The PAs up for the award are Ann Dunford, Garbutt & Elliott solicitors, Charlotte Pickles, Kirklees College, Heather Connaughton, University of Huddersfield and Laura Taylor, Deloitte LLP.
Marion Lowrence, Director of The PA Hub in Yorkshire who was a previous title holder of Q Hotels ‘Yorkshire PA of the Year’ is “delighted” to hear the final line up are all members of The PA Hub.
Marion is currently national title holder with Pitman Training Super Achievers ‘PA of the Year’ in recognition for her passion to the PA world and the work she has done in setting up a dedicated PA membership network for Yorkshire assistants.
She says: “This is a wonderful achievement for our members to get to the final four for this category and makes my role of encouraging assistants to believe in themselves and go for awards all the more worthwhile.”
Unfortunately only one assistant can win but this is a real accomplishment to be a finalist and for them to be recognised in this way; I am extremely proud of all of them.“
“The PA Hub is constantly encouraging the members to realise their worth as assistants as we are often the unsung heroes within our companies. My advice is to believe in yourself and go for it and recognising your own abilities is the first step for others to believe in you.”
