Duo of industrial sales complete
CBRE’s Industrial Agency team has sold two industrial units totalling circa 20,000 sq ft in both Featherstone and Barnsley in deals that demonstrate growing occupier confidence within the region.
Award-winning supplier of label products, AJS Labels, has purchased the 9,863 sq ft Unit E on Boothroyds Way at Green Lane Industrial Estate in Featherstone for an undisclosed sum. The modern, detached property comprises both warehousing and office accommodation and is located just two miles from Junction 31 of the M62.
In South Yorkshire, local food manufacturer Country Feast Ltd, has purchased the 9,902 sq ft Unit 2 on Carlton Industrial Estate in Barnsley for an undisclosed sum. Carlton Industrial Estate, which is just off Junction 38 of the M1, is one of the longest established locations in the Barnsley Borough and as such is home to a range of occupiers.
Associate Director of Industrial Agency at CBRE, Dave Cato, said; “We have witnessed an upsurge in demand for units of around 10,000 sq ft which are being purchased by firms to enable them to own their business premises. This demonstrates that occupier confidence is growing which is a positive sign for the continued recovery of the sector as a whole.”
