Hydraulics company ramps up sales with Combilift order

Merseyside hydraulics firm Yuken Europe has secured an order with an award-winning, international manufacturing company.

Liverpool-based Yuken is supplying valves to Irish forklift truck manufacturer Combilift, with this latest order supporting its operations for the next six months.

Yuken general manager Mannie Saunders said the deal cemented its long-standing relationship with Combilift which is based in Gallinagh, County Monaghan.

The Japanese-owned firm is a world leader in hydraulic technology. It delivers a broad range of high quality, durable and low energy hydraulic systems, pumps and valves for use across many different sectors and applications.

Mr Saunders said Yuken will be supplying Combilift with 400 units per month of its directional control valves to aid the steering and control on Combilift’s forklift trucks.

“Working with original equipment manufacturers such as Combilift is an essential part of Yuken Europe and we are pleased it has seen the benefit of our high quality, durable valves,” he said. “In addition to the supply agreement, our industry experts are providing research and development support to Combilift.

“Production at Combilift has increased significantly over recent years and it is now building 60 forklift trucks per week. The firm manufacturers a broad portfolio of forklift trucks and our products are tailored to meet the unique requirements of each model.

“Yuken has supplied close to 15,000 units to Combilift over the past three years. In this period we have built up a strong relationship based on the quality of our products, after sales service and customer care.”

Mr Saunders said Yuken’s products play a key role in the automotive process helping to generate, control and transmit power through the use of pressurised liquids.

“The directional control valves being supplied to Combilift are designed to control the flow of oil delivered to the rear wheel of Combilift’s three-wheeled forklift trucks,” said Mr Saunders.

“They help the trucks to turn in very tight circles. Our products offer increased efficiency, reliability and longer lifespans. This is greatly valuable to end users as it drives down overall costs, energy usage and environmental impact. “

Mr Saunders said Yuken’s products are chosen by original equipment manufacturers such as Combilift as they can save up to 70 per cent on energy compared to cheaper alternatives.
