New restaurant builds a bridge to new cultures
Over 30 chefs lined the Gateshead Millennium Bridge to mark the forthcoming opening of a remarkable new restaurant at The Gate in Newcastle at the start of next month.
Za Za Bazaar is set to open its doors on Monday 9th December and will bring adventure and live cooking to the region, showcasing banquet menus from China, Japan, the Far East, South America and Europe in a vibrant and exciting atmosphere.
Able to seat 500 diners, the restaurant is a significant development for The Gate and although it will have wide appeal, is expected to provide a big pull for families keen to access something for everyone to enjoy at a fixed price.
Za Za Bazaar’s director of kitchen operations Nitin Bhatnagar said: “We are extremely excited about the forthcoming launch and have drawn together over 30 top chefs from across the world as part of our bid to celebrate and authentically represent the nations on our menu.
“Created with passion, all our dishes will be made from good quality ingredients and cooked fresh in front of guests. The restaurant itself will be a wonderful place to experience – bringing to life colour, texture, designs and variety from right around the globe.”
Amanda Betteridge, centre manager at The Gate, added: “This is a major development for both The Gate and the North East as a whole, bringing much needed jobs and a whole new concept to the area.
“Launching when it does at the start of December also opens up new possibilities to those still seeking the perfect venue for their Christmas party - now you know where to come!”
