Red Gate Software invest in Raw Talent
Red Gate Software, a global technology company based in Cambridge has welcomed fresh talent into their sales team following their partnership with Raw Talent Academy.
Following the partnership with Raw Talent Academy, Red Gate Software have taken on a number of ‘Inside Sales Representatives’ who showcased their ability via RTA’s unique Academy process. The Academy saw over 400 candidates apply for the positions before just 20 were selected to attend an Audition Day held at Red Gate’s offices.
The Audition Day took place on the 3rd October 2013, which happened to be Red Gate’s 14th birthday. This coincidence allowed the Academy candidates to witness first hand the great culture that has seen Red Gate named within The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to work for every year since 2007, ranking as the highest Cambridge company every year.
Red Gate wanted to see a different level of candidate compared to their traditional recruitment processes and felt Raw Talent Academy’s innovative approach to recruitment was the answer. The Academy culminated with the candidates showcasing their skill and abilities within real life inspired business tasks, tailored to Red Gate, as opposed to being judged on their experience or CV.
Following the day Simon Johnson, Red Gate’s EMEA Sales Manager, said, “We have just finished our first academy with Raw Talent Academy, it has been a pretty exhausting day but I think we have had a really successful day. This is actually a really, really good result because we have struggled over the past few months to hire the standard of candidate that we are renowned for at Red Gate.
“We have just had a long discussion about who to take, which in the grand scheme of things only took an hour, compared to the amount of time taken over the past few months trying to hire.
“We are all very happy, we have got the hires that we wanted and now hopefully we can get them started as soon as possible!”
One of the successful candidates who was offered a position with Red Gate at the end of the day added, “it’s been a really interesting day, completely different to your traditional interview process and I have taken a lot out of it and at the end of the day I’ve got the job so it’s been a great day.”
