Teesside's Datum360 secure major contract on North Sea gas field project
Datum360, a supplier of software-as-a-service technology to the oil and gas industry has been awarded a major contract by GDF SUEZ E&P UK on the Cygnus gas field project.
The 2 year contract will see Datum360 supply software used to deliver information management in the gas fieldn 150 kilomentre off the coast of Lincolnshire.
Steve Wilson, chief executive of Datum360 said, “We are delighted that, after a period of evaluation, we were chosen by GDF SUEZ E&P UK to work with them throughout the life of the Cygnus project. GDF SUEZ E&P UK has recognised that Datum360 can help ensure their Engineering Information can be quickly imported, accessed, validated and reported on to ensure a smooth handover to Operations.
“Thanks to the fast response of our team of specialists and with the added benefit of our cloud-based, SaaS deployment model, we have been able to deploy the technology and enable the Project team to adopt the new processes in a short period of time. With first production on the Cygnus field due in 2015, I am looking forward to helping the GDF SUEZ E&P UK team deliver engineering information as it should be.”
