Yorkshire care company defending care in all weathers
Award winning Prestige Nursing+Care based in Wakefield and Doncaster have recently invested in a brand new Landrover Defender 4 x 4 to enable carers to continue providing much needed homecare in all weather conditions.
The fully livered Landrover Defender 4x4 is a significant investment for the agency but much needed to allow the dedicated team to deliver their services to the vulnerable and needy in our region. Mike and Jill Dooley who run the Yorkshire based franchise are determined to deliver the high standard of care through all weathers, as witnessed in recent storms.
Mr Dooley said: “There is a strong demand for our services, and it is growing. We want to ensure that people in West and South Yorkshire will continue to have access to the care they need.” He went on to say, “In bad weather, particularly snow some of our carers have been known to drive to hard-to-reach locations and then walk 2 - 3 miles in treacherous conditions to reach some of our patients that remain in their own homes. The Defender will allow our team to keep up the invaluable service.”
Part of the nationwide franchise Prestige Nursing+Care have 2 offices based in Wakefield and Doncaster, also covering Castleford, Dewsbury, Pontefract, Rotherham and Barnsley. The group is one of the UK’s leading providers, with more than 60 years’ experience of providing care and support for people in the comfort of their own homes.
