Chantrey Vellacott DFK strengthens Midlands tax team
National accountancy firm Chantrey Vellacott DFK has strengthened its Midlands tax team with the appointment of a new director.
Ross Northall is heading up the firm’s tax practice in the Midlands, and will be based out of Chantrey Vellacott DFK’s Birmingham office on Calthorpe Road.
Northall, who joins from Magma Chartered Accountants in Rugby, Warwickshire, will also serve the firm’s regional offices in Northampton and Leicester.
The 31-year-old chartered accountant has a decade of experience in providing tax advice to both companies and individuals gained from Top 10 accountancy firms including RSM Tenon and Mazars.
Northall, who was on the academy books of Kidderminster Harriers FC and Cheltenham Town FC prior to kicking-off his career in financial services, said Chantrey Vellacott DFK’s strong history and growth plans attracted him to the firm.
He said: “Chantrey Vellacott DFK is one of the longest established accountancy firms in the UK and has a growing reputation across the region and strong ambitions to significantly increase the size of the firm in the Midlands over the next five years.
“The firm is also one of the market leaders in tax, particularly research and development (R&D) tax reliefs, and the opportunity to play a major part in the continued success and expansion of the company was too good to turn down.”
Northall, who lives in Hayley Green, Halesowen with his wife Rebecca and their 15 month old daughter, added: “I’ve forged good connections across the Midlands during my career and I’m looking forward to enhancing the firm’s tax offering to existing and new clients in the region.”
Chantrey Vellacott DFK is an independent member of global accountancy association DFK International and has offices across the Midlands, London, Thames Valley and the South East.
