Christmas bonus of £4,000 up for grabs by Cheshire manufacturers

The Manufacturing Institute has extended an open invitation to 50 small and medium sized manufacturing businesses in Warrington and across Cheshire to participate in the Cheshire Profit Programme and benefit from £4,000 worth of free business support.

The funding, available on a first come first served basis from 3 December, is designed to help local manufacturers increase efficiency, improve sales and skills, unlock cashflow, boost innovation, or tackle any business issues that will profit their individual business.

Companies are invited to participate in an initial free business review session at their factory. This will provide an opportunity to discuss current challenges with a manufacturing expert, who will listen carefully and then help create an action plan for immediate business performance improvement.

The £4,000 funding can then be used towards purchasing the specialist support and advice to help the company deliver improvements and increase profits, including developing the skills of its management team.

An application to participate can be made via the website www.cheshireprofitprogramme.co.uk

The Manufacturing Institute is the UK’s longest established charity focused on the manufacturing sector and is funding the £2.4 million Profit Programme. This funding is matched by support from the European Regional Development Fund.

Councillor Terry O’Neill, Leader, Warrington Borough Council said: ‘This is a great opportunity for our local manufacturing SME businesses to benefit from free business support funding. Business in Warrington is booming and this programme can assist our local manufacturing businesses to grow’.

Julie Madigan, Chief Executive of The Manufacturing Institute, said: “We know that Warrington and Cheshire manufacturers will benefit greatly from this project because it’s based on a system we have perfected over the past 20 years. In the past decade alone our seasoned business and manufacturing professionals have shared their wisdom and brainpower with 4,000 manufacturing businesses to generate a £1.1 billion profit boost for these firms.”
