Web hosting company encourages local firms to use online live chat
Independent cloud hosting provider Cyber Host Pro believes online live chat could prove to be an invaluable marketing tool for a large majority of local business.
Director of Cyber Host Pro Chris Danks says that companies – particularly those within the e-commerce market – could witness increased productivity and enhanced sales thanks to being able to interact with customers instantaneously online.
Chris and the team, who are based on Old Hall street, have been using online live chat for the past nine years whilst providing business of all sizes from start ups to enterprise hosting solutions including web space, domain name registration and email accounts. The tool has become essential especially for those clients that are located overseas, including an increased client base in India.
He said: “Web-based online live chat tools allow one-to-one conversations between us and our customers, without having to pick up a phone. It saves time, proves very effective and also means that you can deal with more than one customer at a time.
“Companies need to step up and acquire the best tools that they can get their hands on - not only to support their website and sell products but also to improve customer experience without necessarily creating a huge dent on their budget. That is where online chat comes in.”
An ATG Global Consumer Trend study found that 90% of customers consider live chat helpful and an emarketer.com survey found that 63% were more likely to return to a website that offers live chat.
Chris added: “Live chat software has consistently demonstrated that it can save on both employee task time and phone expenses. Some of the most notable cost savings are that live chat reduces overall contact centre costs by lowering average interaction costs and it also increases efficiency by allowing live chat representatives to handle multiple chats simultaneously, thus reducing the need to hire more representatives.”
