Advanced Legal secures five year contract with Curry Popeck Solicitors

Curry Popeck Solicitors has signed a five year contract with leading software provider, Advanced Legal (Advanced) to implement its flagship practice and case management system, ILB. Advanced won the contract after a thorough tendering process that involved four other software providers.

Curry Popeck is a growing legal practice, which has recently merged with Garson Law and Mediation. The deal sees the London-based law firm, with offices in Harrow, the West End and Pinner, replace its existing system with ILB, a fully integrated case management system.

The solution will go live in early 2014 and will transform how the law firm works by streamlining and simplifying repetitive processes, allowing it to provide an even higher level of service to its clients and reducing stress and pressure for staff and fee earners.

The firm will use ILB for practice management, customer relationship management (CRM), process automation using workflow, and document management. Curry Popeck will also benefit from Advanced’s comprehensive Partner program by selecting rekoop’s® industry-leading time capture software, and Exen’s SmartEye® dashboard and KPI software.

Paul Leggett, Practice Director, Curry Popeck, says: “ILB will be a game changer for this business. The system is considerably more sophisticated than the one we are using currently and provides a comprehensive range of tools and systems that will improve the quality of service the firm provides to its clients, as well as helping us comply with changes in the legislative framework. I expect to see a 20% increase in efficiency through the use of ILB”.

“As well as being impressed with the solution and Advanced’s knowledge and experience, we felt they were the most committed to partnering with us to tailor the software to our needs. We wanted to choose a provider who would deliver quality software in addition to on-going support and guidance.”

rekoop’s® automatic time capture software will be integrated with ILB as part of the agreement and installed on all solicitors’ smartphones so they can accurately record time spent with clients whilst on the move. It will also play a key role in accurately tracking time utilisation, making sure clients are not over or under charged.

“The time capture software will enable our solicitors to record time spent with clients while they are working remotely, allowing us much more flexibility. We are seeing a big increase in our solicitors working on the move and expect this trend to continue, so this is clearly an asset.” says Leggett.

The integration of SmartEye® with ILB, will give management and staff alike a comprehensive, real-time view of performance levels.

“The dashboard technology enables staff to view on one screen both historic data, which is filed on another system, and current date. Without this solution, a full data transfer would have been required, which would have increased the costs of implementing the system considerably. SmartEye® clearly provides a much more cost effective option.” comments Leggett

Doug Hargrove, Managing Director of Advanced Legal, said: “We are delighted to welcome Curry Popeck to our rapidly growing ILB customer base which has seen 64 customers go live on the solution since the start of the year. They are typical of the ambitious, growing law firms that we see evaluating the marketplace and, more often than not choosing ILB to help deliver improved efficiency, profitability, competitiveness and enhanced customer service.”

Leggett concludes, “The legal sector is now a very competitive, client-focused market and lawyers are finally waking up to the fact that technology is a business enabler rather than an obstacle. It allows us to work smarter, spend more time with clients and less on administration. Lawyers who fail to understand that technology is key to streamlining efficiencies and providing a first class service to clients and thus improving profitability, will simply fall by the wayside.”
