Yorkshire financial salaries at 91.9% of national average
In a salary report published today by Robert Half, Yorkshire wages for the financial sector came in at 91.9% of the national average.
London financial sector wages, were, unsurprisingly, the highest at 129% whilst the lowest was in Wales, at 89.5%.
In terms of the hiring climate, a survey conducted by the firm, whilst hiring for permanent positions has increased, 87% describe themselves as ‘challenged’ when sourcing skilled financial professionals.
The most sought after skills in addition to traditional accounting knowledge are commercial/business acumen (41%) technology skills (23%) and team building/collaboration (19%)
