Chef Adam Franklin Saves Christmas Lunch For 150 Children From St Nicholas Primary When Strike Action

A local business man and chef has saved Christmas for 150 children from St Nicholas Primary School in Liverpool, after strike action by the GMB Union meant the cancellation of their Christmas party.

Adam Franklin, owner of Yacht Club Liverpool, was contacted by parents from the school after the announcement was made and he immediately came to the rescue of Christmas for the pupils.

Adam said:

“Nothing should stop children enjoying Christmas, the kids were the only ones losing out and we put in a few calls to other local businesses who willingly got behind the idea and everyone was happy to lend a hand to save Christmas for St Nicholas.”

Julie Mogan, Partner DTM Legal, added:

“Adam called us to ask if we could lend a hand and we were more than delighted to add a little festive cheer to the party. We sponsored a present for each child to make sure that they have a memorable day at the Yacht Club and our team are joining in to help on the day, there may even be a visit from our very own Santa!”

Vanessa Nice, Headteacher of St Nicholas Primary School, said;

“We have been so moved by the support of parents and local businesses like Yacht Club Liverpool and DTM Legal. Announcing that we had to cancel our Christmas lunch for the children was so upsetting for all of our staff. We are overjoyed that we are now able to enjoy a fantastic party thanks to Yacht Club Liverpool.”
