xsite Grows its Team to Meet Growing Workload

An architectural practice behind some of the region’s foremost regeneration schemes, xsite architecture (xsite), has announced four new appointments to boost its award winning design team.

These latest recruits include both project architects and talented assistants recruited and their arrival is largely due to xsite starting to see an increase in demand for its work.

Qualified architects Kerry Ho and Maral Rahmantalab, are currently working on key developments across the region including the upgrade and conversion of Grade II Listed buildings in Newcastle city centre and future phases of Blyth masterplan. Both have gained significant experience to date thereby adding further breadth to xsite’s existing resource.

Newcastle University students Neringa Stonyte and Michelle Martin, have also joined the team. Neringa, a Part 1 student, started her career as a graphic designer and web developer before deciding to study architecture and therefore brings a new perspective to building design.

Meanwhile, prior to joining xsite Part 2 student Michelle has acquired a good level of conservation experience, a sector in which the practice is well regarded.

Speaking about the new additions, partner, Tim Bailey said:

“I am delighted to welcome all of our new recruits to the team. Although different characters, they bring with them a diverse range of experience of working at different levels, yet share synergies with our established team in so much as possessing a desire to work collaboratively and innovatively to produce inspiring buildings. I am confident they will each make a positive contribution to the growth of xsite.”

xsite recently announced it had been appointed as lead design consultant and architect by Arch - The Northumberland Development Company, to provide masterplanning services and designs for three phases of building on the redevelopment of the Commissioner’s Quay site in Blyth.
