Parkers is UK Chauffeur of the Year

Newcastle and Teesside-based Parkers Executive Chauffeurs, has been recognised for its outstanding commitment to customer service, winning Chauffeur Company of the Year Award 2013 in a glittering London ceremony.

The prestigious event, organised by Professional Driver magazine, was held at the Copthorne Hotel, Effingham Hall, London, and celebrates chauffeur and private hire operators that demonstrate excellent standards of Quality, Service and Innovation (QSI).

Parkers won the Small Operator Gold Award for companies with one to ten vehicles.

The evening, hosted by Channel 4’s face of motorsport Amanda Stretton, was split into ten categories and the finalists were selected by an independent panel that included an expert for that sector and a member of the Professional Driver editorial team.

From its inception, Parkers has sought to offer an unrivalled experience for its passengers and the company now counts amongst its customers many ‘Blue Chip’ corporates, Government departments and agencies, as well as airlines and organisations from the entertainment industry.

The company continually innovates within the industry and has recently announced a national network of chauffeurs with affiliates being carefully vetted. Only those who share Parkers’ ethos of professionalism and world class quality customer service having been chosen.

Leading the North East Business community, Parkers was the first company in the North East to sign up for ‘carbon credits’ from a new system that has been assured by the government’s Woodland Carbon Code. This means that environmentally conscious clients concerned by the impact of emissions during trips can be assured that the Parkers team is a carbon neutral one.

Parkers Managing Director, Brian Rudd, said: “This award is the result of 11 years of unrelenting hard work from our fantastic team and a very clear business strategy which we have built the business around. At the heart of it all, is our drive for world class customer service based around meticulous attention to detail, adding true value and being a reflection of our customers own high standards.

“It is very interesting to note that during the week when we won our Award a host of other North East-based organisations also achieved similar success. This reflects the standard of excellence across a wide range of sectors in the North East.

“We are a home grown North East business run by people who were born and bred in this region. It is great for the North East that an increasing range of companies are trail blazing and we are honoured to be one of them.”

James Ramsbotham, Chief Executive of the North East Chamber of Commerce, said: “Having used Parkers on many occasions, I am aware of their high standards and excellent service and they are fully deserving of this prestigious honour.

“Parkers join a long list of North East companies competing for, and winning, some fantastic national honours. Only last month Nortech Solutions claimed the Most Promising New Business at the British Chambers of Commerce Awards, following up Sarah Pittendrigh’s win last year in the same category. NECC took an incredibly strong showcase of North East talent to this year’s event. This success is fantastic for regional business.”
