Liverpool's Columbus Quay receives £50k London investment
Liverpool’s Columbus Quay is the latest Merseyside commercial property to receive backing from London investment, with a £50,000 refurbishment by Pebworth Property Management.
Located on Riverside Drive, the pavilion designed Columbus Quay is a striking feature on the banks of the River Mersey, looking out onto the Wirral Peninsula.
Constructed almost two decades ago, the property until yet had gone without any major modernisation; the refurbishment brings the property’s space up to date with its waterfront location and exterior design.
A refurbishment to an open plan design includes the fitting of a modern stairwell, kitchen and toilet facilities to the very latest specification, in addition to re-decoration and re-carpeting.
The available 3900 ft commercial space is now being let by Hitchcock Wright and Partners. Despite the regeneration, the space is on the market at just £5 per sq. ft.
Brian Ricketts of Hitchcock Wright and Partners explained the low letting prices: “The hope is that the unit will prove suitable to an independent or smaller Liverpool business, helping bolster the North West economy from the ground up. We acknowledge that the competition smaller businesses face is tough, particularly during periods of uncertainty.
“The property represents an excellent ‘ready made’ opportunity that is available for immediate occupation for an image conscious business that wants high quality space without the assumed price tag”
Its current occupiers include a number of independent businesses including EAD Housing, Curtins Consulting (consulting engineers) and Arena Housing.
