Forgemasters' beer proves a hit
A special beer brewed to promote Forgemasters engineering firm in Sheffield has sold out since its October launch.
Forgemasters partnered with The Sheffield Brewery Company to produce the Forgemasters ‘Cast Ale’ which has proved extremely popular among drinkers.
The beer now looks set to become one of the brewery’s staples as a third production run is about to begin.
We set out to create the perfect pint and it’s great to see that people have bought our beer and gone back for more.
Forgemasters’ chief executive, Dr Graham Honeyman, said: “Sheffield is the real ale capital of the UK and it is fitting that the city’s most historic engineering company should team up with one of the great breweries to create a beer with such strong appeal.”
Peter Rawlinson, director of The Sheffield Brewery Company, added: “The Forgemasters beer has clearly got broad appeal, because it’s a unique golden ale, with a nice edge at 4.8 per cent, and a taste which suits a variety of palettes. It also has that great name association, which people from across the region have real affinity with.
“We are delighted with its success and are now considering Forgemasters ale as one of our core beers.”
