North East sales trainer shortlisted or national award
A North East training company director has become the only sales trainer in the North East to be shortlisted for a British Excellence in Sales and Marketing award.
Mike Lever, a director of New Results Training and former Northern Rock employee, is one of eight in the UK shortlisted for the award.
He said: “I am very pleased to be shortlisted. Getting to this position is enhanced by the fact that I was nominated by a client, rather than nominating myself. I was delighted and very flattered when he said that he was nominating me.
“We take the approach to sales training which means we work with the client to deliver what he wants to do as a business, and our success can be measured in the increase in profit margins – in his case more than 19 percent.”
Mike was nominated by Ellwoods Food Group in Washington, Tyne and Wear.
The awards are run by the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management. The awards final will be in February next year in London and recognise ‘exceptional performance and achievement’.
Mike is also a Fellow of the ISMM and next year will become a Companion of the Institute.
