Redcar graphics firm say diversification has delivered growth
The managing director of a Redcar-based graphic design outfit, run from his home, says diversification has delivered growth for his small company.
Matt Stilwell launched RED43 after going back to college as a mature student and says his business has gone from strength to strength since diversifying to build websites, manufacture button badges and produce canvas prints.
Matt said: “We still do graphic design but the canvas prints have really taken off in a big way, we’re also getting more and more requests for websites.
“The vast majority of our work comes from small businesses like ours, we understand their needs and we can work within their budgets - they get the product they want at a price they can afford.
“And, we know they are happy with the results as almost 100pc of our work comes from word-of-mouth recommendations.”
Canvas printing now represents half of the business for Matt and his wife Angela, who also works on RED43.
The business has received help from Redcar Enterprise Team which is funded by ERDF money.
